Florence is a city that enchants visitors with its history, art, and uniquely Italian lifestyle. The capital of Tuscany, it is world-renowned as the cradle of the Renaissance: a place where legendary figures such as Dante, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Botticelli were born or worked.
Founded during Roman times, Florence reached its peak between the 14th and 16th centuries, becoming a major cultural, economic, and political center in Europe. It also played a key role in modern Italian history: from 1865 to 1871, Florence served as the capital of the Kingdom of Italy, before the title moved to Rome. dal 1865 al 1871 è stata la capitale del Regno d’Italia, prima che il titolo passasse a Roma.
